According to tvwise.co.uk, Sinbad will not be getting a second season.

Some agitation on the Sinbad (2012) facebook page for a continuation.

I'm glad I've found this group, but I'm sad to hear about the cancellation, which I expected. The show has potential, and there are several plotlines that I'd really like to see developped. :(

Honestly, I think its weak point had been the start. It was confusing, rushed and the acting talent of the antagoninsts overshadowed the newbyes. It found its grounding later, but at that point I guess its potential viewership already left.

I've noticed that last summer, people was curious and talked about the show during the first episodes, and then the series fell into silence. I hardly think there is any organized fandom like it happens for other new series.

The production should have invested more time in trying to promote the show and create a solid fanbase. What a waste.

Nala's departure puzzled me, I didn't see it coming. Yes, it's in line with her personality, she is more of a diplomat than an adventurer. Still, it was so sudden. Since the show was pre-produced it couldn't be due to the viewers' mood toward her character. Two explanations came to my mind. Either Estella Daniels wanted to leave, or maybe the writers needed to place Nala in Basra for future developments. If it's the latter, I guess we'll never know :(

For confusing I meant that they rushed the plot to put all the characters together, and give Sinbad a crew as soon as possible. Like, everything happened in episode 1. I've watched the first episodes on air, (well, online) and back then I've read a lot of comments where people wondered about the main characters' names, which wasn't very clear. I dind't dislike the pilot, but I've seen better introductions.

Aww, I know what you mean about fanfictions. I'm in the fandom of the other Sinbad series, the one from the nineties, and that show was cancelled too. That's why we were all excited about the new adaptation, and hoped it could last longer. I wish you are right and maybe later the show will gain new fans, but I'm skeptical. I'll cross fingers anyway. :)
