I like the family member/loved one idea better than straight up Cursed to Be on the Ship, as that would make him too much like Sinbad.
I hope there will be more Nala too. I didn't dislike Tiger, but Nala was definitely more interesting and fun to watch. At least they didn't kill her off, so adding her back in will be pretty easy if they like.
